What is a wheel’s load rating and why does it matter on a van?

The load rating is the maximum weight a single wheel is certified to carry. Vans and 4x4s, especially when laden or towing, put far more weight through each wheel than a car. An underrated wheel can crack or fail under that load — so we always confirm the rating for your exact vehicle before offering you a wheel.

Can the wrong wheels affect my insurance?
